Sie sehen unterschiedlich aus. Sie sind in vielerlei Hinsicht ungleich.<\/strong><\/p><p><br> <strong>Die Menschen macht gleich, dass sie ihren Willen gegen\u00fcber der Wirklichkeit nicht durchsetzen k\u00f6nnen. Diese Ohnmachtserfahrung macht sie gleich.<\/strong><br><br> <strong>Wir sind gleich in der Hinsicht, was wir nicht k\u00f6nnen und nicht wissen.&nbsp;<\/strong><br> <br> <strong>Das bisschen mehr an Wissen, das ein Professor gegen\u00fcber einem Stra\u00dfenkehrer hat, ist gegen\u00fcber der ungeheuren F\u00fclle dessen, was wir nicht wissen und nicht k\u00f6nnen, \u00fcberhaupt nichts. Wie begr\u00fcndet man einen Machtanspruch?&nbsp;<\/strong><br> <br> <strong>Wir sind gleich im Hinblick darauf, was wir nicht wissen und nicht k\u00f6nnen.&nbsp;<\/strong><br> <br> <strong>Wie regiert man unter der aufgekl\u00e4rten Vorstellung, das niemand die Macht hat, die Wirklichkeit nach seinem Willen zu formen?<\/strong><br> <br> <strong>Demokratie ist die Form des Zusammenlebens von Menschen, bei der alle davon ausgehen, dass keiner wei\u00df, was die Wahrheit ist. \u201eIch wei\u00df es nicht\u201c, ist ein aufgekl\u00e4rter Satz.&nbsp;<\/strong><br> <br> <strong>Demokratie ist die \u00dcbereinkunft, das niemand es wei\u00df. Wir wissen es nicht. Wir bilden uns nicht ein, dass wir die Wirklichkeit nach unserem Willen formen k\u00f6nnen. Das ist der Beginn der Aufkl\u00e4rung. 724px) 100vw, 724px\" \/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The idea behind Wer ist Iphigenie? \u2014 Das unerlebte Erlebnis is the redistribution of cultural capital in a city. We intended to activate a creative dialogue among citizens by using art as a tool to provoke critical and innovative thinking. With this project we addressed the site of Rennbahnweg Siedlung in the 22nd district of Vienna, and approached it as a case study. The spaces in and around the social housing blocks have become the \u201cpalimpsest\u201d within which we realized our performative interactions. StadtRecherchen, a Offene Burg program communicates to the outer districts of Vienna, which usually wouldn\u2019t receive such engagement from centralized cultural institutions. With our project we aim to facilitate an opportunity for the people of Rennbahnweg Siedlung to communicate back to Burgtheater.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead of working with themes from the original script of Oresteia, we choose to take inspiration from the character of Iphigenia, who is sacrificed in order for the resulting story to unfold. For us she represents the ideals we project on our lives that are traded for an alternate future. Our ongoing question, \u201cWer ist Iphigenia?\u201d places every participant in a significant role. We want their stories of unexperienced experiences to be the material upon which a theatre of modern society could be scripted. By recording personal stories from a multitude of Iphigenias, we may collect a vast range of alternate endings to the story of her sacrifice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result of the project was an exhibition of portraits in the open areas of the housing complex, a short documentary film and two performances in June 2017.
